Komodo & the Rinca Trails

Come face-to-face with Komodo dragons on this Indonesian island-hopping adventure. Spend a day cruising the Flores Sea, stopping at Rinca and Komodo Islands to see the giant lizards in the wild. Soak up the beauty of Pink Beach, diving underwater to see colourful tropical fish and corals. This is the perfect adventure to combine with a beautiful Bali beach stay before or after.

Itinerary

Arrive Labuan Bajo

Take a morning flight to Labuan Bajo, a city at the tip of Flores Island. Meet with the local guide and receive a private transfer to the hotel. The remainder of the day is free at leisure.

Rinca - Komodo

Awake early in the morning for a full day boat trip in legendary Komodo National Park. First stop is Rinca Island, Smaller than Komodo, and mostly covered with savanna, it is easy to observe the dragons and other animals on a short, one-and-a-half-hours trek under the guidance of a local park ranger. Continue by boat to Padar Island. After a short trek, witness one of the area’s most spectacular panoramic viewpoints of the surrounding ocean, islands, bays and hills. Continue to Komodo Island, the largest and most famous of all islands in the national park with the biggest community of Komodo dragons. After returning to the boat, cruise further towards the island of Kanawa for snorkelling. Enjoy your time on the beautiful white sandy beach or in the water observing the colourful underwater world. There is a dazzling array of tropical fish and coral species here.
