Spend five nights exploring all that Hong Kong has to offer. From the ever popular laser show that lights up the skyline nightly to one of the areas most popular urban hikes. Your stay will be split on the way out and back to Australia where you will travel from east to west on the iconic Indian Pacific train, spend three nights in Sydney and explore the city on a small group tour before boarding the train with All Inclusive meals, fine wines, beverages and excursions. Discover the Blue Mountains, Broken Hill, Adelaide, Cook and Rawlinna. Arrive on Australia’s west coast for a three night stay in vibrant Perth.

place DAY 1 - Hong Kong

Upon arrival in Hong Kong, transfer to the Grand Dame of the Far East, The Peninsula Hong Kong. For your first evening board an authentic Chinese sailing junk boat, the Aqua Luna for a 45-minute cruise on Hong Kong’s famous Victoria Harbour while enjoying the ever-popular” Symphony of Lights” laser show. Sip on a complimentary drink and relax on the lounge beds taking in the sights and sounds of Hong Kong’s stunning skyline.

Today join a Centra; Walking tour to explore this ever changing destination. Begin with a walk along the historical Hollywood Road and visit Man Mo Temple, a complex paying tribute to the God of Literature and the God of War. Visit the nearby Upper Lascar Row, known to antique enthusiasts worldwide as Hong Kong's famous “Cat Street” market with over a century of history selling interesting decorative items and authentic historical pieces. Experience a short tram ride before heading to the Lower Peak Tram Terminus for a ride to Victoria Peak. This is a visual experience in its own right as Hong Kong Island’s skyscrapers slide past your window at what appear to be impossible angles! Once atop the famous Victoria Peak can enjoy a breath-taking panoramic view of the city, Victoria Harbour, Kowloon Peninsula and beyond.

place DAYS 3 - 5 - Sydney

Sydney

On arrival in Sydney you will be transferred to your hotel. The following day join an unforgettable small group experience on a half day tour of Sydney. This is the perfect way to see all the highlights that this magnificent city has to offer including the historic Rocks area, Mrs Macquarie’s Point and Kings Cross and the famous Bondi Beach. The next day is at your leisure.

Your transcontinental adventure begins in Sydney where you board the Indian Pacific. As the train winds through the breathtaking Blue Mountains, sit down for your first meal on board – a regionally inspired dinner paired with All Inclusive beverages.

place DAYS 7 - 8 - Indian Pacific

You arrive in the ‘Silver City’ of Broken Hill as the day begins, where you embark on a morning of off train excursions to discover the mining history and artistic culture of this unique town. Lunch is served onboard as the Indian Pacific enters the southern tip of the spectacular and ancient Flinders Ranges. Arriving in the city of Adelaide in the afternoon, you have the choice of a tour of the city, a visit to the world-famous Barossa Valley or McLaren Vale wine regions (seasonal), or a trip to the beautiful Adelaide Hills featuring the culinary delights of Hahndorf. The following day you’ll awake to the seemingly endless expanse of the Nullarbor Plain.

place DAYS 9 - 12 - Perth

Perth

Breakfast is served as you glide through the mild skies and cool green vales of the Avon Valley on your way to Perth, arrive after an onboard lunch and check in to your hotel for a three night stay. The next day explore Perth and Fremantle on a small group tour before enjoying glorious views as you cruise back up the Swan River.  

place DAYS 13 - 15 - Hong Kong

Return to Hong Kong for a second stay in another of the city's top luxury hotels, Rosewood Hong Kong. Spend a day exploring a different side to Hong Kong. The Dragon's Back was hailed by Time Magazine as Asia's best urban hike: "This is the city´s finest and most surprising ramble... The glory of it all is that you're so close to the city, but could hardly feel further away." Commence the hike along a lovely cool path that goes through shady groves of bamboo and lush woodland. Emerge into open hillsides before following the rugged undulating spinal ridge of the Dragon´s Back. The breathtaking views take in dazzling seas, the distant Nine Pins Islands, sandy Big Wave Bay, Tai Tam Harbour, Stanley and the Red Hill peninsula. Finish the hike by strolling down through shaded tunnels of exotic vegetation, then take transport back to the Central district in Hong Kong.
