Chicago

Milwaukee

Pick up your rental car and head north to Milwaukee in Wisconsin, a friendly midwestern city with a strong brewing heritage and home to the world’s only Harley Davidson Museum. Built along the lakefront of Lake Michigan with the Milwaukee River weaving through downtown, this is the perfect place to enjoy a boat trip. Explore the Milwaukee Art Museum or Miller Park during your stay.

Green Bay

Visit Wisconsin’s oldest community, surrounded by nature and with Lake Michigan as its northern border. Visit the National Railroad Museum or for the NFL football fans out there a trip to the Green Bay Packer’s Hall of Fame at Lambeau Field is one not to miss.

St. Ignace & Mackinac Island

Drive the scenic route along the coast of Lake Michigan to the waters where it meets Lake Huron through the stunning Hiawatha National Forest. Stroll the Huron Boardwalk and take a ferry over to the timeless Mackinac Island; the jewel of the Great Lakes where cars are prohibited, and bicycles and horse-drawn carriages rules the road. Return to St Ignace in the late afternoon.

Detroit

Cross the Mackinac Bridge to Traverse City and onwards to ‘Motor City’ Detroit. Visit Hittsville USA Motown Museum – Motown’s first recording studio, stroll along the riverfront and stop at the Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation. Dine in trendy bars and restaurants, enjoy the amazing art galleries or discover the beautiful beaches of Detroit.

Toronto

Today you will be crossing the border into Canada to the cosmopolitan city of Toronto. Sitting at the tip of Lake Ontario, the most eastern of the Great Lakes. Home to a dynamic array of attractions, spend your days visiting the CN Tower, The Royal Ontario Museum and Casa Loma.

Niagara Falls

Just an hour and a half drive from Toronto and you arrive at the incredible Niagara Falls. Head to the top of Skylon Tower for spectacular views and take the famed ‘Maid of the Mist’ boat ride to the majestic foot of the falls. With a vast choice of ways to view the falls, choose from walking tours, ziplining excursions and even epic helicopter journeys.

Niagara-on-the-Lake

Head further north and discover the charming town of Niagara-on-the-Lake, nestled at the mouth of the Niagara River, famous for its wineries and farm-to-table gourmet restaurants. Enjoy a stroll along the streets of the Heritage District, savour some fine red wine and enjoy a horse-drawn carriage ride.

Cleveland

Stop at Presque Isle State Park for beautiful beaches on the way south to Cleveland. This 3,200 acre sandy peninsula offers beautiful coastline views and nearly 14 miles of scenic trails along Presque Isle Bay and Lake Erie. You can also visit the famous Rock & Roll Hall of Fame on the lakefront.

Chicago

Drive the Lake Erie Coastal Trail and Dunes National Lakeshore on Lake Michigan back to Chicago. With a fantastic location in The Loop neighbourhood and magnificent views of the city skyline, enjoy a luxurious stay with signature dining for the last night of your Great Lakes adventure. The next day return your rental car to the airport before checking in for your flight home.
