After a year travelling around Asia and Australia on a working holiday visa, I returned to the UK needing a new job. I ended up working for Trailfinders for the next 11 years and have been with If Only for the last three. During this time, I have travelled to many amazing areas around the world including Cuba, Japan, South Africa, most of South East Asia, Australia & New Zealand, USA, Canada and Europe, cementing my love of travel and photography along the way.
My next trip will take me to South Korea where I hope to visit the DMZ and JSA and catch a glimpse of North Korea, as well as Busan and Jeju Island. From here I will travel on to Japan to visit some areas I missed on my previous visit such as Osaka, Nara and Hiroshima.
My favourite hotel to stay at:
Four Seasons Resort Langkawi in Malaysia is without a doubt one of the best hotels I have stayed in. Taking a visit to the Tanjung Rhu beach is a must do in the island of Langkawi, it is one of the prettiest (and quietest) beaches I have ever seen.
My favourite place to travel:
For me Asia, South East Asia in particular, is probably my favourite part of the world – from the amazing food to the people who are always so wonderfully kind and helpful. I have returned many times to this area discovering amongst other things the amazing night markets in Luang Prabang, Laos, the fabulous beaches and national parks of Thailand, awe inspiring Angkor Wat in Cambodia, the wonderous Mekong Delta in Vietnam, the beautiful and quirky Gardens by the Bay in Singapore and of course the hawker markets and tea plantations of Malaysia.
