January to April and October to December are hot with calm seas and little wind, making them the best months for snorkelling and witnessing beautiful sunsets. May to September cool slightly due to winds from the south east, although temperatures are still in the mid 20°Cs, with the possibility of rain showers. Although there are birds and other wildlife on Bird Island all year round, the best time for bird watcers to visit are April, May, October and November.
