Overview

Lying on a beautiful cove, tucked against the slopes of the rugged Al Hajar Mountains, with striking views over the sparkling waters of the Arabian Sea, the Jumeirah Muscat Bay fuses contemporary style and elegance with Omani heritage and tradition. The natural setting is truly spectacular, and days can be spent hiking the mountain trails, enjoying the abundance of water sports, or simply relaxing in the glorious white sands of one of the finest beaches in Oman. Culture vultures can explore the old forts, museums, and traditional charms of nearby Muscat City, which in contrast to many other Middle Eastern capital cities retains a gentle, old-world feeling with few high-rise buildings and a warm, true sense of Omani hospitality.

The Jumeirah Muscat Bay has all manner of tempting experiences to keep you from wandering too far afield. Stunning beaches, three swimming pools, one of which is adults only, a signature day spa and five exceptional restaurants which include fine dining, an international show kitchen and a beachfront option which has a relaxed, laid-back vibe offering fresh seafood, fabulous cocktails, and a front row seat of the vivid sunsets.

Climate

The best time to visit Muscat is between October and March, when temperatures are warm yet enjoyable. In the east and north the climate is more Mediterranean, but the surrounding desert helps summer temperatures soar to 40C. The south has a year round tropical climate and even a monsoon from July to September – keeping temperatures in the high 20Cs.
