Overview

The serene, secure and exclusive Nurai Island is dedicated to personal pursuits, from laid-back relaxation and wellness journeys to high adrenaline jet-ski trips and scuba diving adventures. Set just offshore from Saadiyat Island, this retreat seems a million miles away from Abu Dhabi’s soaring skyline and world-class attractions.

For the ultimate celebration, the resort will even reserve the whole island of 42 villas for exclusive use for 3 night stays – however this top-end luxury and privacy comes at an equally exclusive price.

Experiences

Dream

High ceilings, minimalist design and sharp lines create uber-cool havens of elegance that blend seamlessly with the tranquillity of the palm-fringed gardens.

Each resort villa, discreetly positioned along the island’s sweeping bays, offers a unique vista, private pool, and a premium beach-front location that’s a tribute to barefoot luxury.

Luxurious in-room amenities, gourmet mini-bar, in-villa dining, and dedicated butler service are also available for every guest, while freestanding bathtubs with sea views, walk-in rainfall showers and outdoor garden showers make bathing a pleasurable indulgence.

Getting There

Transfers

Approximately 30 minutes by car and boat from minutes from Abu Dhabi Airport. The resort's private 10-minute boat crossing runs every hour between the island and Saadiyat Island, which is fast becoming Abu Dhabi’s playground. From here, it’s only 15 minutes by taxi to the city centre’s malls, or Abu Dhabi’s Cultural Quarter. Nurai Island can also arrange private boat charter or helicopter trips from its own helipad – for those who wish to see the city from a different angle.

Climate

Sunny blue skies and high temperatures can be expected most of the year. Rainfall is sporadic, falling mainly in winter (November to March) and averaging 12 cm per year in most of the emirate.
