Located at the mouth of the Sigatoka River, the Sigatoka Sand Dunes National Park extends for several miles along the coast of Viti Levu with dunes reaching heights of 60m. Fiji’s first National Park, this is also an archaeological site where early settlements and remains of Lapita pottery dating back over 3,000 years have been uncovered.

When To Visit

Fiji has two seasons - warm and warmer, although that doesn’t mean that it never rains. The temperatures from May to November, the cooler months, typically range from 19°C to 29°C, while from December to April temperatures usually range from 22°C to 33°C. Typically, the Fiji islands get the most rain from November to April but even in the wetter months it may only rain for a short time each day and then clear up.
